Mr. Andrzej Kowalski has been on the Supervisory Board of Energomontaż-Południe S.A. continuously since December 1997.

Since the very beginning of his professional career in 1970, he has worked for "Energoprojekt-Katowice". First, he worked as an Assistant Designer. He moved up the professional ladder and in 1990 he was promoted from the position of a Chief Designer to the Director of the state enterprise. When "Energoprojekt" was transformed into an independent joint stock company on 1st November 1993, he was appointed the President of the Management Board and Managing Director.

Mr. Andrzej Kowalski is a graduate of the Silesian University of Technology, Faculty of Automatics. From 1977 to 1981, he worked as a Junior Lecturer in the INT Institute of the University of Silesia. He managed to prepare several projects of automatic control systems implemented in numerous power plants which are still functional. He has developed a model of a digital automatic control unit based on a computer system which is still used today. His academic career was crowned with a Ph.D. degree in the field of information theory acquired in 1979 as well as publication of numerous articles in professional journals. Mr. Kowalski was born in 1947.

Since 2002, Mr. Kowalski has been a Member of the Supervisory Board in "Instal - Kraków" S.A. From 1997 to 2004, he was a Member of Supervisory Boards in the following companies: Energoprojekt - Consulting S.A., Balcke-Dürr Polska, Energoaparatura S.A., Sefako S.A. Fabryka Kotłów, Fabryka Kotłów Rafako S.A. and Chemar S.A. Zakłady Urządzeń Chemicznych i Armatury Przemysłowej.
