Energomontaż-Południe SA at the 7th Power Sector Congress
The Warsaw Sheraton Hotel was a venue of the 7th Power Sector Congress organized by the Polish Entrepreneurship Support Society (PTWP) - editors, inter alia, of the Nowy Przemysł (New Industry) magazine and the wnp.pl portal. The event was held on 7-8 October 2010.
The Polish capital city was visited by domestic and foreign experts representing the power sector . Among them were investors, contractors, market analysts and bankers.
The lead topic was : "Are we in for a blackout again?".
According to experts, the Polish power sector is not threatened by a blackout, i.e. a catastrophic power failure, by the year 2012. But in the longer term, the future is no longer that bright. Poland, according to forecasts made by the European Network of Transmission System Operators for Electricity, is the only European state whose electricity balance will face a threat as early as in 2015 (wnp.pl).
Energomontaż-Południe SA played the role of one of the Congress' partners.
Mr. Andrzej Hołda, the President of the Board, was invited to take part in two important thematic panels: "Investment hurdles" (7 Oct. 2010) and "Investment. Who will build new power plants" (8 Oct. 2010).
