Energomontaż-Południe SA sponsors PKO BP Katowice Open 2010
An international women's tennis championship with a prize pool of 25,000 dollars has been held for the third time in Katowice Janów, on 5-12 September this year.
This year the singles final ended very happily for us, being won by Poland's Magdalena Linette from Poznań, who defeated the Czech Eva Birnerova in a three-set battle.
Magda Linette, for whom this was the fourth ITF victory this year, told spectators it had been a difficult tournament because of the terrible weather, but said she was pleased to finally be able to play the most important matches on open courts.
The Mayor of Katowice, Piotr Uszok, congratulated both players and also thanked the sponsors and organisers for an excellently organised tournament.
It is already a tradition that Energomontaż-Południe SA was one of the sponsors of this prestigious event, an important one for the region.

It is worth stressing that the graphical and media framework of the PKO BP Katowice Open was superb, and in the tournament's final stages, on two digiboards (modern diode screens supplied by Trias SA), spectators were able to follow the results of matches, names and pictures of the competitors, as well as ads and logos of the sponsors.
