Energomontaż-Południe SA announced the strategic sponsor of GKS Katowice

The players will face a new sport objective: they are expected to win the promotion to the premier league (Ekstraklasa) within the next two seasons. And the Management has established new organisational objectives: stabilisation of the club's financial standing, restructuring of the debt and defining transparent goals for all the employees at GKS. And soon before the new season is about to kick off, everything seems to be getting on well.

The new GKS Management was presented at the press conference: Jacek Krysiak as the President and Tomasz Karczewski as the Vice-President. Ms. Alina Markiewicz was appointed the club's spokesperson.

The new club's sports department has been composed of Jan Furtok (Director) and Piotr Piekarczyk (young players coordinator). The team coach is now Dariusz Fornalak.

Energomontaż-Południe SA has been involved financially in collaboration with the football club from Katowice and has become its Strategic Sponsor for the new season of 2010/2011. Our logotypes will be found on the official GKS shirts and the advertisements will be placed at the stadium and published in the media when the club and the team is to be presented. We hope that the funds allocated in the club will strengthen it and the players will do their best to prove their value before the supporters. We will keep our fingers crossed for the promotion to the premier league.

The club has already contracted several players expected to help it in its struggle to the higher league level, and further reinforcements are possible.

During the summer, football matches are played in Bukowa street on Fridays, at 19:00. Starting from September, all matches will be played on Saturdays.
