International basketball branded by EP
This year, the Jerzy Kukuczka Academy of Physical Education in Katowice celebrates its 40th anniversary. On that occasion, last week (4-6 June 2010), an International Academic Basketball Conference was held and the Silesian Team had the chance of playing against the American team of Athletes in Action.
Energomontaż-Południe SA was one of the main sponsors of this important regional event.
The Silesian players rose to the occasion and did their best during the match which proved to be very hard-fought until the last seconds. The third quarter final score was 70:70 and the game hung in the balance until the very end. Thanks to good defence, the American team won by a few points.
We are hoping to see the revenge next year!
