From 16th to 23rd May 2010, the tennis courts in Katowice Janów hosted the fifth edition of men's international tennis tournament with the prize money of USD 15,000.
This year's winner was a German player, Alexander Flock. The full audience gathered at Sunday's final played in beautiful weather saw the German beat the Polish Błażej Koniusz (Chrozów). The winner received a prize of USD 1,950 and 25 ATP ranking points and the runner-up received USD 1,350 and 14 points.
In the doubles final, Adrian Garcia and Hans Podlipnik-Castillo from Chile beat a Chilean-Russian pair Cristobal Saavedra-Corvolan and Denis Matsukevitch 7:5, 7:5.
This year's tournament was played in heavy rain, and only on Saturday and Sunday the semi-finalists and finalists could leave the sports hall and play at the open court.
Like every year, the tournament was accompanied by numerous attractions including an all-star game, VIP's game as well as tennis events for the youngest players.
Traditionally, one of the sponsors of this prestigious and regionally important tournament was Energomontaż-Południe SA.
