Last Sunday, at the Shooting Lodge in Promnice, Business Centre Club held its 15th Silesian Gala. The group of guests invited to the event included numerous well-known figures of business, politics and culture. In an atmosphere of a Sunday picnic, awards for the leading Silesian enterprises known as the Silesian Business Caesars (Cezary Śląskiego Biznesu) were granted. The companies which managed to maintain their leading market position were awarded by the contest committee with Diamonds complementing the awards previously won. One of the Golden Diamond (Złoty Diament) winning companies was Energomontaż-Południe SA represented by President Andrzej Hołda.

 

Members of the contest committee also granted Special Statuettes (Statuetki Specjalne) in recognition of outstanding achievements in the field of science, culture or politics, and the persons awarded were Professor Jerzy Buzek, President of the European Parliament, Kazimierz Kutz, an excellent film and theatre director, and Adam Kopciuszewski, Director of the Zagłębie Theatre. BCC also welcomed a new Honorary Member - a European Parliament Member, Małgorzata Handzlik.

The leading slogan of this year's Gala was "Weather for Luck". Fortunately, despite slightly worrying forecasts and the Saturday rainfalls, the weather was good and the Sunday event took place in truly summer conditions.

The exhibition stand of Energeomontaż Południe was very popular among those invited and our café was visited by many distinguished guests including Małgorzata Handzlik and Prof. Jerzy Buzek.
