Energomontaż-Południe SA has commenced another significant stage of construction of the roof steel structure for the football stadium in Gdańsk Letnica.
The second element of the roof girder of the weight of ca. 38 tons has just been installed. The operation of hoisting and positioning of the element, although complicated, was handled very smoothly and took about 1 hour. In the following days, on the successive stages of the assembly works, Energomontaż-Południe SA will conduct further 81 similar operations.
The overall height of the two-element structure is 35 metres and its weight will come to ca. 66 tons. The assembly requires using two specialist cranes as well as particular precision and high skills of operators and workmen.
Soon, the stadium will begin to acquire its beautiful form inspired by an amber.
